Fall has arrived in BG, KY, and I can’t say I’m excited. It doesn’t help that a few short weeks ago, I was on the beach working on my tan. Now I’m wearing layers and spending my nights wondering if it’s too soon to turn my heat on.
To help my transition into fall, I’ve come up with 9 good things about this season. I originally planned a top ten list, but I couldn’t come up with the last one

9 Good Things About Fall
Fall TV. Thanks to my new DVR, I can spend cold nights curled up on the couch watching Glee, Bones, How I Met Your Mother and anything else I find to record.- “New” Clothes. Long sleeve t-shirts, 3/4 length sleeved shirts, sweaters, jackets. It’s like I have all new clothes even though it’s the same stuff I got tired of wearing back in February.
- New purse. When I bought it this summer, I wasn’t sure I would be able to wait this long to use it, but I did! It’s pretty hot I must say.
- Ironing delay. I have a stack of short-sleeve shirts that need to be ironed. I’ve put them off for over a week now, but I tell myself that’s ok because it’s not like I’ll be wearing them anytime soon.
Crock Pot. There’s nothing better than a hot bowl of soup waiting for you at home after a cold day.- Mums. I felt kind of dumb for planting mums in the spring when they quit blooming after about a week. But then September came and now I have these. They haven’t said anything to me, but I’m sure my neighbors are jealous.
- Christmas decorations. Speaking of jealous neighbors, fall means it is almost Halloween. Which means it’s almost Thanksgiving. Which means it’s almost time to decorate for Christmas. All these people that have moved in over the summer have no idea what they have to look forward to.
- 11.20.09. If you don’t know what comes out then, go here.
- At least it’s not this cold yet!
What do you like/dislike about fall? Let me know in the comments.

Ok, here we go….about time you got a DVR, I won’t bug you anymore about how much you need to get one.
The purse, well I’ll give it to you, I like it.
Ironing…no need at any point.
Crock Pot…I really need to figure that one out…even I can’t mess that one up (hopefully)
Mums…I likely, They beat my weeds any day, your welcome to come to my house and spruce up my ‘garden’ of weeds
Christmas…I do like me some Christmas, maybe when “someone” is putting up our Christmas decorations he will clean out the gutters
Yeah…so I didn’t click on the Picture until after my post…That is hilarious…And I’m still waiting for the moon boy movie to come out so I can see the first one
Basketball is one of my favorite signs of fall! Go Tops!
I also think new clothes should mean go shopping. My summer clothes are way cooler than my winter clothes (pun not intended). I will be the frumpy girl in a turtleneck and sweater.
