Mallory flying

Today is Mallory’s first birthday! Now I know she is a genius, but she hasn’t yet mastered the art of the Interweb. So chances are she won’t be browsing my site to see this. If nothing else, her birthday gives me a reason to post the picture above. It cracks me up everytime I look at it. When Mallory is a teenager (think of how old we’ll be then Sherry! yikes!), I’ll still have this picture and probably embarrass her with it.

I need new jeans.

The one pair I have that actually fit well are about to fall apart. Hopefully, I will be at home when they decide to. So, I’ve been trying jeans on everywhere I go. I even tried some at Target last night that had a tag saying they were “destined for greatness.” I wouldn’t say they were great, but maybe “destined for goodness” if they had been 2 inches longer.

Is this a problem for everybody? Is it just a girl thing? Or do I just have an oddly shaped body (and not the good oddly shaped body like Kelly Clarkson :-) )?

Sigh. Well that’s my rant for the day. Tomorrow, I’m going to Chattanooga with Kristi & Earl for the weekend. It should be a fun mini-vacation.

Lots of stuff going on this week. Our office moved from the strip mall on Three Springs Rd. to downtown BG. We’re high-class now! I got a free day off on Wednesday because the office wasn’t finished, but everything had to be moved that day. I spent most of Thursday getting my stuff set up in my new cube. So far I’m loving it. I have so much more room and my own space. If I could only figure out a way to get my dry-erase board to stay on the wall. We’ve had some connection problems, but that just gives us an excuse not to work. My other complaints with the new office can be solved by always having my headphones on. :-)

Last weekend, Kristi and I bought bikes and we (along with Earl) went riding on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. I haven’t been on a bike since high school so it took me a while to get used to it again. I used to be able to ride really fast and for a long time. Of course, I was a lot younger and thinner then. We’ve decided to ride during the week instead of going to aerobics just to have something new to do. Maybe we’ll take some pictures so I can share how cute we are in our helmets that Kristi made us get.

Last night was the VMA’s and I went to Kristi & Earl’s house for their 3rd (or 4th?) annual VMA party. We made pizzas and I brought an ice cream pizza that was awesome if I must say so myself. The awards themselves were soooo boring. Jack Black was not funny at all. Most of the performances were just ok. There were a few exceptions: Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake were all good. It’s just never going to be as good as 9-9-99.

Speaking of JT, he’s truly bringing sexy back. As a BSB fan, I always thought the NSuck guys were ugly. And when Justin had his first solo cd, I didn’t think about it. So when did he get so hot? ;-)
