Today I hit the big 3-0. Happy Birthday to me!
I’ve sort of been celebrating my birthday for the past couple of weeks. I saw Lady Antebellum at the Ryman, went to see Remember Me, and went car shopping with Kristi and Earl. None of that was officially “birthday” stuff, but pretty much the entire month of March is all about me. I’ve also received some gifts and had a mom-cooked meal. Today, I’m going on a mini road trip with Sherry and Nikki to do some shopping. And then tomorrow will be the annual trip to Olive Garden since the one in BG is STILL not open yet.
Way back when I was a student at WKU, my mom bought me some snow boots so I’d be prepared for walks up the hill in the snow. I think I wore them one time. They’re not the sexiest piece of footwear, and we never have that much snow to bother with them.
The theme on facebook this week seems to be to go to urbandictionary.com and look up your first name then post what you get. But why waste this on facebook, when I can use it as an easy post and brag that I wrote two in one week?
So here are the ones that I thought were completely true or cracked me up. I’ll let you decide which is which. My comments are in parentheses.
So the big secret from my last post was that I won tickets to go to the taping of CMT Crossroads with Keith Urban and John Mayer. It was amazing. Ted kind of laughed at me when I told him that at work the next day, but seriously, Ted, it was. 
Big News! I’ve won tickets to see….well, the email I got said it’s supposed to be “confidential” and that I should not share any details with anyone. That must not apply to the radio station giving away tickets, but I don’t want to take any chances.
So, I’ll tell you this: Kristi and I may or may not be going to a city in Tennessee in the near future for a taping of a show for some network that will feature one to two guys that may or may not sing and/or play guitar.
Yay! I’m so excited and can’t wait!
